About the Journal
Transactions of the Indonesian Association for Computational Linguistics (TINACL) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by the Indonesian Association for Computational Linguistics (INACL). The journal provides a scholarly venue for original research advancing computational approaches to human language, including computational linguistics, natural language processing, speech and language technology, language resources, and language-centered artificial intelligence.
TINACL welcomes high-quality contributions from researchers, academics, industry practitioners, and professionals working across computational linguistics and related fields. The journal is international in scope and welcomes research on all natural languages and multilingual settings. Submissions are not restricted to Indonesian or languages of Indonesia.
TINACL particularly encourages research addressing multilingualism, low-resource languages, linguistic diversity, cross-lingual methods, reproducibility, language resources, and the responsible development and deployment of language technologies.
Focus and Scope
The Transactions of the Indonesian Association for Computational Linguistics focuses on the computational study, processing, modeling, understanding, and generation of human language. The journal welcomes theoretical, methodological, empirical, resource-oriented, and applied research that contributes to the advancement of computational linguistics and natural language technologies.

Neural and statistical language models, large language models, representation learning, generative language systems, adaptation, evaluation, and applications of artificial intelligence to language-related problems. -
Information Retrieval and Knowledge-Oriented Language Processing
Text retrieval, semantic search, knowledge extraction, knowledge graphs, information extraction, and language-based access to structured and unstructured information. -
Evaluation, Reproducibility, and Benchmarking
Evaluation methodologies, benchmark development, replication studies, error analysis, reproducible experimentation, shared resources, and comparative studies of computational language systems. -
Responsible Language Technology
Fairness, bias, transparency, privacy, accountability, accessibility, ethical considerations, and societal impacts associated with computational language technologies.
The journal welcomes original research articles, empirical studies, resource and dataset papers, methodological contributions, evaluation and benchmarking studies, systematic reviews, technical studies, and applied research that make a substantive contribution to computational linguistics and language technology.
International and Multilingual Scope
TINACL is an international journal and welcomes research concerning any natural language, language family, or multilingual environment.
Although the journal is published by the Indonesian Association for Computational Linguistics, its scholarly scope is not limited to Indonesian, regional languages of Indonesia, or research conducted within Indonesia. Contributions involving languages and linguistic communities from any region of the world are welcome.
The journal particularly values research that expands linguistic coverage, supports underrepresented and low-resource languages, advances multilingual and cross-lingual methods, and contributes to more inclusive language technologies.
Open Access Policy
Transactions of the Indonesian Association for Computational Linguistics is an open-access journal. Published articles are made freely available online to support broad access to scholarly knowledge and facilitate research dissemination, collaboration, reuse, and scientific advancement.

Peer Review Process
